A Legacy of Land, Devotion, and Gathering

Located on the edge of Fuller Lake in Grey Eagle, Minnesota, this property has long served as a place of retreat, reflection, and renewal.

The land originally belonged to the Dakota people, later shared with and occupied by the Ojibwe (Chippewa). For generations, this region was a site of migration, hunting, gathering, and ceremony—its forests and waters holding cultural, spiritual, and practical significance.

In the early 1900s, a group of Franciscan sisters established a presence on this land, building a monastery and eventually operating it as a spiritual retreat center. For decades, the property was used for religious devotion, quiet study, and communal living. Later, it became known as Wellsprings, a place where individuals and groups could come to rest, reflect, write, and connect with nature.

Today, the property is stewarded as Fuller Life Retreat. While the structure has evolved to meet the needs of modern gatherings, much of the original spirit remains. The home now hosts weddings, retreats, reunions, and private getaways, continuing its legacy as a place where people come to slow down, reconnect, and be present.

Guests will find private lake access, forest trails, open indoor gathering spaces, and simple, spacious accommodations. Whether you visit for a weekend or a special event, Fuller Life Retreat offers a peaceful and meaningful setting to restore and remember what matters.

Guests have full access to the entire main home, sauna, private dock, fire pit gathering area, and 68+ acres of trails, woods, and open lawn. The seasonal bunkhouse with wet bar and bathroom is also yours during warmer months. Pontoon on site. This is a completely private home - tucked away and quiet. Just you, the land, and the ones you came with.

And when the outdoors slows down, the inside of the home shines—with a gourmet chef’s kitchen, beautifully appointed bedrooms, and all the space you need to relax, gather, or just stay warm in style.
